I am usually a “the glass is half full” kind of person, but after a rather gloomy week of overcast skies, cool temperatures, rain and thunder showers, I was beginning to think that a reluctant summer would never actually arrive. I woke early this morning to another cloudy day. However, it wasn’t long before the sun showed signs of poking through the muddy sky. Following a breakfast of wild blueberry pancakes, large patches of light blue were fighting for space amongst the clouds. I took my bike out for a ten mile ride and enjoyed the feel of the sun on my face. Later, after a ride on the JetSki and a visit with some of our seasonal neighbors, I was feeling that old positive energy that has served me well in the past. It’s going to be a good summer after all.
